The Center for Christian Study serves a community that wishes to learn how to love the Lord with our minds. There are a number of ways we serve this community in a ministry of Christian Study.
Through our Faith & Life Programming, we offer a platform for speakers who address topics that the university community cares about from a thoughtful Christian perspective. In that way we model, as well as provide content for, Christian Study. We provide courses on topics ranging from the Bible, Christian Theology, and Church History, to world issues relevant to today's university culture.
Read in our Undergraduate Ministries page how students are gathered into residence programs to live in intentional Christian community, and read and discuss topics ranging from discipleship to world affairs.
Our Graduate Ministries are fellowships of pre-professionals at the Law, Business and Graduate School of UVA, encouraging these students to think about the meaning of their vocations as part of Christ's mission to the world.
Our special events express our hospitality toward the community, and invite people to engage in our programs. We maintain an open building, open kitchen, computing center, library, counseling resources and a prayer room...and a hot, fresh cup of coffee.
Our colleagues in campus ministry see us as an asset, and we come together with them often for discussion and prayer. This house serves all.
This is the ministry we offer. In short, we bend every effort toward promoting and resourcing Christian Study at the University of Virginia!
