From the North:

Take US 29 south into Charlottesville until it intersects University Ave (US 250).  (US 29 is also known as Emmet Street at that point).  The Cavalier Inn is on the corner on your right.  Turn left and proceed approximately 1/2 mile to the stoplight at Rugby Road.  Turn left onto Rugby Rd and drive approximately 1/4 mile.  Turn right onto Chancellor Street, Immediately before the rail road bridge (known in the U.Va. community as the Beta Bridge).  The Center is a cedar-shake house located on the left side of the street - 128 Chancellor St.

From the South :

Take US 29 North toward Charlottesville.  Take the 250 East exit (which is the second exit after going under I-64).  Turn right at top of the ramp.  250 is called University Ave.  Ater crossing US29/Emmet Street proceed approximately 1/2 mile to the stoplight at Rugby Road.  Turn left onto Rugby Rd and drive approximately 1/4 mile.  Turn right onto Chancellor Street, Immediately before the rail road bridge (known in the U.Va. community as the Beta Bridge).  The Center is a cedar-shake house located on the left side of the street - 128 Chancellor St.

From the East:

Take I-64 from the East to Exit 118B (29 North). Take US 29 North toward Charlottesville. Take the second Exit, which is 250 East. From the West:

From I-64:  Take I-64 east toward Charlottesville.  Exit onto US 29 north (Exit 22B).  Take the second exit onto US 250 east into Charlottesville. Follow US 250 approximately 2 miles.  At the stoplight turn left onto Rugby Rd and drive approximately 1/4 mile.  Turn right onto Chancellor Street, immediately before Beta Bridge.  The Center is a cedar-shake house located on the left side of the street

Parking at the Center for Christian Study

The Center for Christian Study and Splintered Light Bookstore have five parking spaces available in front of the building.   These spaces have a two hour limit, and you must remain in the building the entire time you are parked in these spaces. If you would like to use one of the Study Center's designated spots in the Grand Marc Parking Garage, please speak to Bill Wilder.

Do not use the parking lot behind the Bank of America and accross from St. Paul's Memorial Church. The spaces are marked for church use or for bank use only. Towing is stricktly enforced for those spaces.

There are three public parking lots nearby.  Fees and availability vary.

1. The closest pay lot is on Elliewood Ave.  Go past the Center for Christian Study to the end of Chancellor St.  Turn left onto University Ave. and the left again onto Elliewood Ave (at Starbucks Coffee).  The parking lot entrance is on the left.  The Study Center will validate for this parking lot as long as you are participating in a Center program or shopping at Splintered Light Bookstore.

2. The Corner Parking Lot is located off University Avenue.  Go past the Center for Christian Study to the end of Chancellor St.  Turn left onto University Ave. The entrance is next to Littlejohn's New York Delicatessen.

3. There is also a pay lot on 14th St. NW, near the railroad bridge crossing University Avenue. Go past the Center for Christian Study to the end of Chancellor St.  Turn left onto University Ave.

In addition, street parking is available on University Avenue in front of St. Paul's Memorial Church. Free parking spaces are available in the evenings on Hospital Drive next to the UVa Medical School. Hospital Drive is a one-way street entered from Jefferson Park Avenue.
